Seminar aims to help more go green12.33.08pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 1st Jul 2008 • COMMERCIAL landlords, building owners and managing agents have the chance to learn more about going green at a free breakfast seminar run by Richmond Council. Representatives from Thames Water, Transport for London and the Council's Commercial Recycling Team will be on hand to discuss environmental facilities and services. The event is part of the Council's new 'Go Green Richmond upon Thames' scheme, which supports local businesses to become more environmentally-friendly. Cllr Martin Elengorn, Cabinet Member for Environment on Richmond Council, said: "I strongly urge owners of commercial premises to come along and learn more about our 'Go Green initiative. The scheme can help them become greener through free environmental reviews and support to become more sustainable in terms of energy, waste, water and travel. Taking part will ensure they understand how to meet the requirement of reducing their environmental impact. They will also learn about the new Energy Performance Certificates and share practical advice on providing water and waste management services as well as sustainable travel facilities."
